Ashley Wilson


Ashley was born and raised in Denton, Texas.

She started dancing at age 5 at the Denton Ballet Academy.

There she studied Russian ballet, tap, and character style dance.

She performed with the Festival Ballet of North Central Texas in the Nutcracker production for 8 years.

She then continued her training at the Denton Dance Conservatory, where she continued to focus on ballet, pointe, contemporary, and jazz.

Ashley became a senior member of the Denton City Contemporary Ballet, where she danced in many performances such as A Gift for Emma, Peter and the Wolf and Collage Festival for several years.

She also was a part of the Denton High School Fillies Drill Team for two years and served as a Lieutenant in her senior year.

While on the drill team, she won many awards including a top three High kick award at competition.

She also attended many other training opportunities such as Tom Clower workshops, BYU Advanced Summer Intensive, Apache Belle Camp, and also traveled to New York where she attended New York Dance Tour classes.

Currently, Ashley is attending Sam Houston State University where she is majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in EC-6 with a double minor in dance.

She is very excited for this upcoming year and can’t wait to teach ballet!
